Resumen

Este trabajo sobre el Diario 1976-1983 de Ángel Rama explora los modos en los que la intimidad del diarista (la íntima distancia consigo mismo) se expone en el registro de lo cotidiano más acá de las estrategias de autofiguración que apuntan, desde lo privado, al reconocimiento público. Siguiendo la enunciación de lo íntimo, que desborda la trama moral y la retórica de las autorrepresentaciones intelectuales (Rama como “último intelectual latinoamericano” y como “héroe moderno”), la lectura se desplaza del campo del testimonio al, siempre equívoco y revelador, de la experiencia novelesca.

Abstract

This article, about Ángel Rama’s Diario 1976-1983, explores the ways in which the intimacy of the diarist (that intimate distance with oneself) is exposed in the recording of everyday life, closer to the strategies of a self-figuration that points to public acknowledgement from within the private realm. Following the enunciation of the intimate, which overflows the moral and rhetorical plot of the intellectuals self- representations (Rama as the “last Latin-American intellectual” and as a “modern hero”), this reading moves away from the testimonial enunciation to the always equivocal and revealing field of novelistic experience.
